Cooperrider-Kent Bog Interpretative Hike

June 8, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

To coincide with the 2016 Ohio Chautauqua in Brimfield, Ohio the Division of Natural Areas invites you to join us on an interpretive hike of the Kent Bog. This is an area of significant natural history. The largest, southernmost tamarack acid bog in the United States, Kent bog hosts a variety of unique plants and other organisms preserved since the last ice age by escaping the agriculture practices of the earliest European settlers.
This is a free event. For more information please contact Adam Wohlever at (330)-527-5118 or adam.wohlever@dnr.state.oh.us
